The Route We're Riding:

We're going to ride around Redlands shopping at independent businesses finding the items that we will donate. Plan on buying 1-2 items at each stop unless you're riding in a team and have additional backpack room for more goods.

  • Start at Pedego Electric Bikes, there's plenty of safe parking where you can leave your vehicle while we ride.

  • Olive Ave Market will be serving us a morning refreshment

  • Cajon Pharmacy for the moisturizer, chapstick, vaseline, baby wipes, etc.

  • Gerrard's Market for the food items (Gerrard's has generously donated a $10 gift card for each of our riders to help cover costs)

  • Redlands Visitors Center for refill of water and clean restroom if needed

  • Frugal Frigate and Jack's Toys - children's gifts are not high priority right now, but we know they will be as it gets closer to Christmas. These are fun stops if you have younger riders with you.

  • Goodwill for scarves, long-sleeved shirts, beanies, gloves

  • Running Center for socks

  • Family Service Association Donation Center

  • Escape Downtown Oasis for prize announcements, celebration and community.

  • Return to Pedego Electric Bikes to retrieve your other vehicle.

A map of the entire route will be provided on event day. This is an all-ages, all cycling abilities event and we encourage you to choose your own adventure. Want to hit all the stops? Great. Prefer one and done? Also great.

Non-Riding Participation:

Busy that day? You like to help, but you don't ride? We've thought of that too. We're in a Stater Bros center, and while we're all about promoting other small businesses, what's most important here is to help families in need. If you want to buy some items from Stater Bros on event day and then head over to Escape for lunch, there's a donation bin in the shop or you can take the items directly to the donation center (it's a block away from Escape).

We have the donation bin up in the shop now, and we'll take donation items up until a week after the event.

Generous, but Short on Funds?

In this economy, who isn't? Family Service Association accepts gently used clothing. As you get your kids' hoodies and jackets out of storage, set aside the things they outgrew. We'll accept them in the donation bin at the shop or you can bring them directly to the donation center on event day. You can be positive that your items will go directly to those in need instead of getting resold on eBay because Family Service Association doesn't sell the donated items they receive.

The Prizes:

As if it wasn't fun enough to ride your bike and then go get pizza and beer, we've gamified it too. Following are the prizes we will award when the group end up at Escape for the after party:

  • Youngest rider and youngest at heart (oldest)

  • DIY-er - the folks who hit one stop and go hang out at Escape

  • Legs of Steel - the folks who ride the most miles

  • Speed demon - the fastest person/team to complete the full route

  • Most generous - the person who donates the most

Aside from bragging rights, we're giving out See's chocolate, gift cards to Stell, gift cards to Escape, gift cards to our shop, and a gift from Ozel Jewelers. And everyone gets the participation award of a gift card to Gerrard's market!

Let's Get Ready to Ride!

Have you already secured your spot? Can't wait to see you. If you're interested and haven't registered yet, make sure you do. We owe a rider count to Gerrard's and wouldn't want you to miss out on your gift card. Still unsure? Let us know what additional questions you have.
